Michael J. Sekits, President   msekits@sekitscapital.com
Mr. sekits has advised corporations in numerous acquisitions and divestitures exceeding $3.0 billion in aggregate value.  In addition, he has assisted in the issuance of both private and public securities exceeding $5.0 billion in proceeds.  Prior to founding sekits Capital, he was an Associate Director in Bear Stearns & Co.'s Investment Banking Department where for five years he specialized in M&A advisory, high yield finance and public equity issuance for financial service businesses.   Clients included BankAmerica, First Nationwide Holdings and MECA Software. Prior to Bear Stearns, Mr. sekits was an Associate at The Shansby Group, a private equity fund that acquires companies in consumer industries and actively assists management to build value.  Mr. sekits identified, evaluated and assisted in acquiring companies for The Shansby Group. In addition, he assisted in an operational turnaround at Calidad Foods and was responsible for finance and operating functions at a start-up consumer products venture.  Prior to The Shansby Group, Mr. sekits worked with PaineWebber, Inc. and Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. in their respective Corporate Finance Departments.  Mr. sekits currently serves as a member of the board of Vertical Lend.  Mr. sekits received his Bachelor of Arts in economics and accounting from Claremont McKenna College with the Phi Beta Kappa distinction.


Barry A. Henstock, Partner  bhenstock@sekitscapital.com

Mr. Henstock has partnered with sekits Capital to assist in the creation and operating management of Henstock sekits Partners, LLC, a financial services technology private equity fund.  Mr. Henstock has also joined the Board of Directors for Vertical Lend, Inc., a sekits Capital client.  Mr. Henstock is a highly experienced financial services executive with more than twenty years in senior positions including corporate Directorships and Audit Committee Chairman.  He has served over ten years as Chief Financial Officer for major corporations both in North America and internationally.  Mr. Henstock is the Founder of Barwin Associates, a financial service consulting firm. Previously, Mr. Henstock was the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Acquisitions for Avco Financial, a $8.0 billion financial services company. Prior to Avco, Mr. Henstock was the Chairman and CEO of Royal Trust Holdings, a U.S. bank holding company with $8.0 billion in assets.  He also served as Chief Financial Officer for Royal Trustco, a $38 billion Canadian bank, and was directly responsible for its Asian Operations. Mr. Henstock is a Fellow of the United Kingdom Institute of Chartered Accountants.


Adam M. Eckhart, Partner   adameckhart@sekitscapital.com

Mr. Eckhart joined sekits Capital to assist client management in strategic development and capital sourcing.  Mr. Eckhart was previously the Director of Finance at TheWorksUSA Inc., a rapidly growing and profitable technology company where he was responsible for managing the finance, accounting and corporate development functions.  During this time, he implemented a mid-range accounting and contract revenue system, performed a two-year financial audit, managed forecast and budget requirements as well as the due diligence process for potential investors.  Prior, Mr. Eckhart spent four years with Arthur Andersen’s Valuation Services Group performing private equity valuations for corporations and partnerships within the Tax Services Group.  Mr. Eckhart also worked at Summit Partners, a tier-one venture capital firm.  He was responsible for sourcing and analyzing potential investments within the software technology and information services industries.  Mr. Eckhart worked with several high-profile companies, including McAfee Associates, in structuring minority investments in the form of preferred equity and subordinated note agreements.  In addition, Mr. Eckhart worked in the Corporate Finance Department of Dean Witter Reynolds Inc.  There he worked with a broad array of companies in a variety of capacities including the creation of exclusive sale memorandums, public offering documents, mergers & acquisitions, market research and financial analyses.  Mr. Eckhart received his MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA and his Bachelor of Arts in economics and psychology from Claremont McKenna College.  At Claremont, Mr. Eckhart was awarded several distinctions including Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
